FL | Universal flat bottom drill

THE EFFICIENCY WINNER: DRILLS INTO SLOPING SURFACES IN JUST ONE OPERATION.
WE LIVE QUALITY TOOLING

The FL system represents flat drills with a 180° point angle. The speciality: Precise drill holes in bevelled surfaces. But the FL system also works with high precision when it comes to right-angled radii.

Normally, drilling holes in bevelled surfaces requires some preparatory work in the form of chamfering. The FL system eliminates this effort. The FL mode is: Drilling. Done.

For this added efficiency, the drill tip has a point angle of 180° and no corner chamfer. This allows the drill bit to penetrate the material securely and immediately find a firm hold. The drill bits are available in 2xD, on request also in 5xD with corner chamfer and efficient internal cooling.

The precise cutting edge preparation reduces cutting forces and minimises wear. This generally results in surfaces of excellent quality. The FL system stands for greater efficiency, more process reliability and less machine downtime when drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals.
