AKS | Internal grooving system

Compact grooving. Cost-effective production.
WE LIVE QUALITY TOOLING

For compact and precise internal grooves from 1 mm grooving width: the ARNO AKS internal grooving system.

The robust tangential clamping of the cutting insert ensures secure clamping and thus maximum process reliability during grooving operations in bore machining. Two integrated coolant channels direct the coolant precisely to the cutting edge and aid the removal of chips from the groove and the bore. The optimised overhang length of 2xD enables easy handling and precise coolant guidance.

Precision-ground cutting inserts with two cutting edges also ensure high cost-effectiveness and reduce tooling costs. As the cutting inserts can be used on both left- and right-hand boring bars, they reduce inventory requirements and increase flexibility. For special requirements, customised designs are available for radii, angles and shaped inserts.

Boring bars
