Stability and rigidity are vitally important when groove turning - these are two factors where the SE system demonstrates its high quality. Strong tangential forces have no impact on these tools. This effectively reduces vibrations. The plane tool surfaces produce plane surfaces on the workpiece and this obviates the need for time-consuming surface rework. Of course, you can also use the special advantages of the SE system for parting off and grooving. The groove widths of the SE range from 2 to 6 mm with cutting depths between 12 and 21 mm. The system offers seven geometries, three of them with full radius.
