Stability and rigidity are vitally important when groove turning - these are two factors where the SE system demonstrates its high quality. Strong tangential forces have no impact on these tools. This effectively reduces vibrations. The plane tool surfaces produce plane surfaces on the workpiece and this obviates the need for time-consuming surface rework. Of course, you can also use the special advantages of the SE system for parting off and grooving. The groove widths of the SE range from 2 to 6 mm with cutting depths between 12 and 21 mm. The system offers seven geometries, three of them with full radius.
You can also use the ARNO – ACS Cooling System in the SE system in order to leverage a globally unique technology for perfect chip evacuation and temperature dissipation.

The new modules are available in left- and right-hand versions, in both standard and counter-rotating variants. With cutting widths of 3 and 4 mm, they enable axial grooving from a groove diameter of 50 mm and achieve cutting depths of up to 20 mm. The active insert clamping system with fixed stop ensures a high level of process reliability, whilst the ACS1 internal cooling system provides targeted cooling directly at the cutting edge. All modules are compatible with the tried-and-tested MSA-SL/-SR interface and, consequently, with ARNO direct mountings.
